When your solar panels are all facing the same direction and there is little shadow interference, a string inverter is a good choice. The advantage of a string inverter is that the system is relatively simple with few different components and therefore a small chance of malfunctions. If there is a malfunction in the inverter, it is usually easily accessible and therefore easy to replace.
If your solar panels are positioned in different sun directions and at different angles, with or without shadow, optimizers or micro inverters are a good choice. With an optimizer, each panel is controlled individually and you experience minimal interference when a panel is shaded. Optimizers are cheaper than micro inverters and require far fewer separate components. This makes the installation much more flexible to expand and simpler to maintain.
A battery inverter converts the direct current in your home battery into alternating current that comes from your socket. We work with hybrid inverters, which work for both solar panels and a battery. This way you can choose to add batteries to your system at a later time.
We offer different types of inverters, taking into account your specific situation: the shape and position of your roof, the presence of shadow, the available surface area, or the desire to add batteries to the system (later). Of course, the price of different inverters also plays a role.
Our advice is based on years of experience and data on the yield of different types of systems. For every situation there is a suitable inverter, which our advisors are happy to review with you.
