This inverter is specially designed for use with power optimizers per solar panel. With an optimizer, each panel is controlled separately and you experience minimal disruption from shading. The yield with a lot of shading on a panel is 16% higher with the SE 5K.
This inverter automatically switches off in case of arc faults, so you and your property are safe. The SafeDC™ technology developed by SolarEdge protects your installation by automatically lowering the DC voltage in case of an emergency.
This inverter is easy to use and can be remotely controlled. On the monitoring platform, you always get a detailed insight into the performance of your system. This allows you to optimize your activities and minimize system downtime.
This inverter is about 10 to 20% cheaper than micro inverters and requires much fewer loose parts. This makes the installation much more flexible to expand and simpler to maintain.
