1 min Reading time Through the ennexOS monitoring portal, you can now charge your SMA battery whenever you want. This allows you to take advantage of low electricity prices at night, for example: charge when it's cheap and consume power when it's convenient for you.
(Until recently, this was possible on the classic Sunny Portal, but not on the newer ennexOS. Now that it is possible, there's no reason not to migrate your system from the old portal to the new one if you're still using the old one. Click here to see how.)
Log in to your account on the ennexOS website (ennexos.sunnyportal.com). Click on the cog wheel icon for configuration.
Go to 'energy management'
Click on the pencil icon next to 'Battery'
Swipe the marker to the right for 'Time-controlled battery charging'
You can now set one or more charging time windows. For example, if you want to charge every day, except weekends, click on "Only certain days."
Select the days of the week by clicking on the day boxes
Select the time period during the day you want to charge the battery by clicking 'Edit' under 'Time Period'
For example, here we chose to charge the battery every weekday between 3 and 4 am
Finally, you can adjust the charging power (the automatically entered value is the maximum). Then click 'Save'
